French-Canadian singer Celine Dion married her manager and producer, Rene Angelil, on December 17, 1994 in a lavish ceremony at the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal that was attended by hundreds of guests. It was Angelil's third marriage and Dion's first.
Dion was 12 years old when she first auditioned for Angelil, who is 26 years her senior. Angelil became her manager and launched her career, which has seen her become one of the bestselling female artists of all time.
Dion and Angelil began their romantic relationship in the late 1980s and got engaged in 1991. They have three sons, Rene-Charles, the eldest, and twins Eddy and Nelson.
