Michelle Duggar, former star of TLC's reality show "19 Kids and Counting," miscarried her 20th child on Dec. 11, 2011. The child, a girl, was given the name Jubilee Shalom Duggar. Duggar and her husband, Jim Bob Duggar, have a total of 19 living children as of 2015.
The Duggars announced the impending arrival of their 20th child on NBC's "Today" on Nov. 8, 2011. However, during a 20-week prenatal checkup on Dec. 8, 2011, Duggar learned the child no longer had a heartbeat; Duggar miscarried three days later. The Duggar family held a private service for the stillborn infant in their home immediately after the miscarriage, followed by a public memorial for friends and family on Dec. 14, 2015. A memorial video and several photos were released to the general public.
The 19th Duggar child, Josie Brooklyn, celebrated her second birthday the day before the miscarriage. The birth of Josie also featured prominently in the media due to Duggar's significant complications during pregnancy. Josie was born prematurely on Dec. 10, 2009, after 25 weeks of gestation, with a weight of 1 pound 6 ounces. In spite of her premature birth, Josie Duggar has maintained normal development and has no physical or mental impairments.
