A well-known television actor, director, producer and writer, Landon starred in popular television shows such as "Bonanza," "Little House on the Prairie" and "Highway to Heaven." He wrote and directed episodes of all three series. He served as executive producer of "Little House on the Prairie" and "Highway to Heaven."

Landon, born in 1936, began acting in the 1950s. His first notable role was his film debut in "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" in 1957.
