Dean Martin was an American entertainer widely known for his singing, acting and association with comedian Jerry Lewis. Additionally, he was a member of a famous Hollywood clique known as the Rat Pack.

Dean Martin was born on June 17, 1917, in Steubenville, Ohio. After beginning his career as a singer, he met Jerry Lewis in 1946. This led to a successful comedic partnership that included a stint at New York City's Copacabana nightclub and 16 motion pictures. After Martin ended his partnership with Lewis, he continued working as a singer; he had several hit records and two television shows in the 1970s.
