Jonathan Scott is a co-founder and executive producer of Scott Brothers Entertainment, which produces "Property Brothers," a TV show he is on with his twin brother, Drew. Scott is a licensed contractor and real estate agent who has been buying and renovating properties with his brother since they were teenagers.
Jonathan Scott, born in April 1978, was raised in Vancouver, Canada, with his identical twin brother, Drew, and their older brother, J.D. At a young age, he began acting in small theater productions. He then began getting larger TV roles and also briefly worked as an illusionist. Scott eventually studied acting at the Company of Rogues Actor’s Studio in Calgary, Alberta, and acting and drama at the University of Calgary. In 2005, he became more interested in producing and founded the Dividian Production Group with his brother. They then began producing some of their own projects.
Jonathan and Drew bought their first house when they were 18, during college. After renovations, they were able to sell it for a large profit. The brothers founded Scott Real Estate, Inc. and began to build their own real estate company. The company, with offices in Vancouver, Calgary, and Las Vegas, oversees the sales and construction of residential and commercial properties.
Along with "Property Brothers," Scott Brothers Entertainment also produces "Buying and Selling," "Brother vs. Brother" and "All-American Amusement Parks."
