Some common layouts for beauty salons include a large open space with a central reception area and a series of wide hallways with stations set up along them. Additionally, most layouts include separate enclosed areas for waxing and other semi-private services the salon may provide.
In general, salon layouts are fairly open. A reception desk and shelves with products for sale are generally located in the front, along with a waiting area. The main part of the salon is dedicated to hair cutting stations. Toward the back of the salon, the hair washing stations can generally be found. Staff offices and storage are located at the far back of the salon or in another place that is out of the direct sight of the customers.
