EAA AirVenture Oshkosh features a variety of aircraft-related events, including airshows, workshops, presentations and aircraft displays. The shows also offers a number of local and internationally known musical acts, as well as short rides in various piloted vehicles that fly over the venue.
For example, the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2016 show offers three different vehicles offering flights. Fixed-wing aircraft available are a Ford Tri-Motor aircraft and a WW II era B-17 Aluminum Overcast bomber. A Bell 47 helicopter also offers rides.
The show also features forums on topics ranging from aircraft restoration and maintenance to presentations on cutting edge new aircraft technologies and in-depth analysis of various kinds of aircraft both historically and currently in service.
EAA AirVenture Oshkosh offers plenty of aircraft exhibits, as well as shopping areas in which suppliers display and explain their wares to pilots and enthusiasts alike. Additionally, there is a recycling center at which visitors can sell old airplane parts for cash. Visitors can also enjoy the EAA Museum to learn about the history of aviation and view the featured aircraft on display.
Finally, guests of EAA AirVenture Oshkosh can enjoy traditional airshows, including a special ultralight event. Taking a break from the usual events, guests can also take in several bands playing at different pavilions throughout the show.
