Brown paint can be created by mixing one primary color with the color’s respective complementary color. Therefore, mixing purple and yellow, blue and orange, or red and green are all combinations that result in the creation of the color brown.
The newly created brown paint can easily be altered to better suit specific painting needs. Furthermore, the hue of the brown paint created can be adjusted with the addition of either black or white paint to brighten or dim the brown paint color. With the color brown, it is critical that the paint mixing is done slowly so that the color does not become muddy in appearance.
