Vincent Price starred in many films throughout his long career, but was best known for his roles in horror films such as "The Fly" and "House on Haunted Hill." He also did occasional comedy roles, such as his appearance in "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein."
One of Price's landmark roles was in "House of Wax", the first full-color 3D film with stereo sound shown in regular theaters. Price played an unhinged serial killer who hid the bodies of his victims in wax sculptures.
"House on Haunted Hill" starred Price as the host of a party at a haunted house. It was one of a number of films Price did with director William Castle, who was known for his elaborate stunts in promoting his movies.
"The Fly" was one of the most famous and popular films Price was ever in, and one of the relative few where he was not the villain. Price was a central protagonist of the film, as the brother of the scientist who turned into a mutant man-fly hybrid.
"The Last Man on Earth" was another protagonist role for Price. It was the first film adaptation of the book "I Am Legend." Some other noteworthy films that Price starred in include "The Raven", "The Ten Commandments" and "The Three Musketeers."
