ﾓThe MacGregorsﾔ is a series of romance novels by Nora Roberts that center around Daniel Duncan MacGregor and his family. The series includes 10 books and one novella, written between 1985 and 1999.
Events in the overall family saga do not occur in the same order as the books' release dates. The book published seventh, ﾓRebellionﾔ (1988), takes place first, in 1745, and focuses on MacGregorﾒs ancestor Serena. ﾓIn from the Cold,ﾔ a novella that appeared in the 1990 anthology ﾓHistorical Christmas Stories,ﾔ takes place in the late 18th century and tells the story of what brought the MacGregor family from Scotland to England.
ﾓFor Now, Foreverﾔ (1987) moves forward in time to recount how Daniel MacGregor met and wooed his wife, Anna. ﾓPlaying the Oddsﾔ (1985), ﾓTempting Fateﾔ (1985) and ﾓAll the Possibilitiesﾔ (1985) tell the stories of how MacGregor plays matchmaker to ensure his three children find appropriate mates. In ﾓOne Manﾒs Artﾔ (1985), MacGregor plays matchmaker to his daughter-in-lawﾒs brother, Grant Campbell.
The remaining books focus on the next generation. In ﾓThe MacGregor Bridesﾔ (1997), Daniel MacGregor makes sure three of his granddaughters find spouses, and ﾓThe Winning Handﾔ (1998) is the story of Grant Campbellﾒs son finding a wife. In ﾓThe MacGregor Groomsﾔ (1998), MacGregor is matchmaking again, but this time for three of his grandsons, and in ﾓThe Perfect Neighborﾔ (1999), Grantﾒs daughter Cybil falls in love.
