As of 2015, American television talk show host Charlie Rose's long-term partner is urban planner and Bloomberg Associates principal Amanda Burden. Burden has been Rose's companion since 1993.
Born in 1944 to socialite Babe Paley and Standard Oil fortune heir Stanley Grafton Mortimer, Jr., Burden served as director of the New York City Department of City Planning and Chair of the City Planning Commission from 2002 to 2013 under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. She holds a master's degree in urban planning from Columbia University and wrote an award-winning dissertation on solid-waste management. She was married twice before to Shirley Carter Burden, Jr., a wealthy descendant of Cornelius Vanderbilt, and to the former head of Warner Communications Steven Ross. Both marriages ended in divorce.
Charlie Rose hosts the long-running PBS interview show "Charlie Rose" and also co-anchors "CBS This Morning." He was married for 12 years to Mary King, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1980.
