"Animal Jam" aired for 30 episodes on The Learning Channel from Feb. 24 to April 4, 2003. From 2003 to 2006, the children's television show ran in syndication on Discovery Kids, which became Hub Network in 2010, and then Discovery Family in 2014.
John Derevlany created the show and wrote many of the episodes. The Jim Henson Company played a large part in the production of "Animal Jam," and the company also designed the show's puppet characters. Edi the Zebra and Waffle the Cow-Monkey act as the hosts of the show, and there are three DJs: a panda, a koala and a leopard. "Animal Jam" is also the name of an online children's game created by National Geographic and WildWorks.
