On "Army Wives," Bell plays Denise Sherwood, a nurse whose husband is a ranking military official who is serving in Iraq. Bell's character often takes younger army wives under her wing, and she helps new wives become comfortable in their role as an army spouse. Bell's character, Denise Sherwood, grew up in a military family, and her character's son died serving in Afghanistan. Bell's other television acting credits include guest roles on "Law & Order" and "Friends."
