The cast of the television series "Parenthood" includes mother and father Craig T. Nelson and Bonnie Bedelia, playing Camille and Zeek Braverman, Peter Krause as Adam Braverman, Lauren Graham as Sarah Braverman, Dax Shepard as Crosby Braverman and Monica Potter as Kristina Braverman. The show chronicles the Braverman family through good times and bad.
Additional cast members include Erika Christensen as Julia Braverman-Graham, Sam Jaeger as Joel Graham, Savannah Paige Rae as Sydney Graham, and Max Burkholder as Max Braverman. Other stars include Joy Bryant, who plays Jasmine Trussell and Miles Heizer, who plays Drew Holt.
"Parenthood," which was first released in 2010, was filmed in Berkeley, California and aired weekly for one hour. It is based on the 1989 movie "Parenthood" and is the second such TV series based on the film. The series won the 2013 Critics Choice TV Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Monica Potter's work on the show. It also won the 2015 Gracie Allen Award and was nominated for awards from Primetime Emmys, ALMA Awards, People's Choice Awards, TV Guide Awards and the Television Critics Association Awards.
"Parenthood" was created by Jason Katims. The show features various family issues, including those that revolve around one of the grandchildren, who has Asperger syndrome.
