The 2015 film "Jurassic World" featured as its two leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Pratt played Owen Grady, an expert on the Velociraptor dinosaur, while Howard played Claire Dearing, the titular park's operations manager.
The film, the fourth in the franchise based on Michael Crichton's bestselling novels, takes place 22 years after the Steven-Spielberg-directed first installment. It features the same fictional island, called Isla Nublar, and explores the idea of a functional dinosaur theme park on the island.
Other stars include B.D. Wong, reprising his role of Dr. Henry Wu, the chief geneticist of the park. Wong had not appeared in a "Jurassic Park" since the first film. Vincent D'Onofrio plays Vic Hoskins, the sinister head of security for the park, who wishes to use the park's dinosaurs as weapons. The film also features cameos by several celebrities, including the director Colin Trevorrow as the animated "Mr. DNA," as well as Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Buffet as a safety inspector and escaping tourist, respectively.
Like the first film, "Jurassic World" features two child actors. Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson play Gray and Zach Mitchell, nephews to Howard's character Claire Dearing. Brad Bird, Judy Greer and Omar Sy also have roles in the film.
