Carmindy Kathryn Bowyer, known professionally as Carmindy, is a celebrity makeup artist best known for her appearances on the TLC network television show "What Not To Wear." She has been a regular beauty expert on "Good Morning America" and has also appeared on "The Nate Berkus Show" and "A Healthy You & Carol Alt".
Carmindy worked as a spokesperson for a number of health and beauty companies, including Almay, Maybelline, Ponds, Crest White Strips and Proactiv. She created her own cosmetic line, Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy, which is available in drugstores. Carmindy is the author of four books of makeup advice. "The Five Minute Face: the Quick and Easy Makeup Guide for Every Woman" and "Crazy Busy Beautiful: Beauty Secrets for Getting Gorgeous Fast" provide quick and simple makeup tips. "Get Positively Beautiful: The Ultimate Guide to Looking Good and Feeling Gorgeous" focuses on finding beauty through positive thinking. "Bloom" provides makeup tips for teenagers.
Carmindy's work appears in a number of magazines, including Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Self and GQ. Her work also appears in Elle and Marie Claire. She regularly contributes content to her website Carmindy.com and blogs on DailyMakeover.com. Born in 1971 in Newport Beach, California, Carmindy lives with her husband in New York City, as of 2015.
