Punjabi Tribune is a Punjabi language daily newspaper owned by The Tribune Trust and published in Punjab, India. The paper edition was launched on Aug. 15, 1978 and the online newspaper was launched on Aug. 16, 2010. The parent publication of the Punjabi Tribune is The Tribune, an English newspaper now published from Chandigarh. The Tribune was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is now run by the Tribune Trust, which comprises of four eminent persons as trustees. Another sister publication of the Punjabi Tribune is the Hindi language newspaper Dainik Tribune. The Internet edition of The Tribune was launched in July 1998.
