As of May 2015, Wehrenberg Theatres lists its locations on the Theatres page of its website. A list box allows users to select a specific city. Missouri, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota have affiliated theaters.
The Wehrenberg Theatres website allows customers to purchase advance tickets. Ticket bundles and gift certificates are also available. The site has information for group bookings, such as family parties, office events and school events. Customers also have the opportunity to sign up for a mailing list that alerts them to movie news and theater specials.
MVP cards are available at theatres, but customers must register the cards online. People earn points when they use their cards at box offices, concession stands and the website. Customers redeem points for free movie tickets and discounted or free snacks.
The history of the family-owned Wehrenberg Theatres began in 1906 with the kick-off of the Cherokee Theatre in St. Louis, Missouri. The owners added other locations, and, in 1948, the company launched its first drive-in theater. As theaters with multiple screens began appearing, Wehrenberg opened its first multiplex in the St. Louis area. During the 1980s and 1990s, Wehrenberg set up cinemas with 10 or more screens. Around this time, the company also began expanding outside the St. Louis area.
