The South African radio station Ukhozi FM broadcasts music, news and talk shows in the isiZulu language as of 2015. Some of its most beloved radio personalities include Bheka Mchunu, DJ Sgqemeza and Dudu Khoza.
With more than 7.5 million listeners, Ukhozi ("Eagle") FM, formerly known as Radio Zulu, is the most popular radio station in South Africa. While the station had a distinct political role during the Apartheid era, the transition towards commercial broadcasting has made the programming more similar to that of non-isiZulu language stations. Some of the current most popular shows on the station include Ezanamuhla, Vuka Mzansi and Woza Nabangani Bakho.
