Online music streaming services such as Pandora and iHeartRadio have free stations dedicated exclusively dedicated to classic country music. Radio database websites, such as Live365, also contain lists of local and national radio stations with online streaming capabilities.
Pandora online radio allows users to listen to songs for free for a short period of time before prompting registration. Creating an account allows the user to provide feedback to Pandora about their likes or dislikes, including rating specific songs and artists. Pandora uses this information to intelligently suggest new songs and artists for the listener. It is also possible to manually add new artists into a station, or create a station based on a specific artist or song. Pandora's service is free, but does feature visual and audio ads in between songs. It is possible to sign up for a premium monthly service that removes all ads. Other streaming services, such as iHeartRadio, function in a similar fashion.
Many traditional radio stations also offer online music streaming in addition to their broadcast services. Databases like Live365 allow a user to search for a specific artist or musical genre, such as classic country, and view a list of numerous radio stations with accompanying station information and playing schedules.
