There are many resources for learning Beyonce’s dance moves, with step-by-step videos on YouTube and various online dance websites. Another option is to hire a private dance teacher to analyze her videos from a professional standpoint, teach you each individual move, and provide personal feedback.
Beyonce took dance classes starting in elementary school. In 1990, she transferred to a music magnet elementary school in Austin, Texas, to further refine her talents. Her talents were first widely recognized as a singer in the group Destiny’s Child. The group landed a record deal with Columbia Records in 1997. Eventually, the group disbanded, and Beyonce started a solo career.
Beyond her musical talent, Beyonce also began acting and started her own clothing line. She starred in "Dreamgirls" opposite Jamie Foxx and Eddie Murphy. She has modeled for well known brands such as Tommy Hilfiger.
Some dance studios have Beyonce-themed classes at which you can learn a Beyonce routine per class. At one particular studio in New York, classes originally included other artists’ dance moves, such as Lady Gaga and Britney Spears, but eventually Beyonce’s popularity took over as the only available option. Although most people in the Beyonce workout classes have a background in dance, there are some beginners as well.
