The official news site (the NOTICIAS menu, or News in Spanish) of El Espectador contains links to several news sections from the website, among which are Política (Politics), Congreso Visible (Visible Congress), Medio Ambiente (Environment) and Investigación (Research), among others. El Espectador is a longstanding Colombian newspaper that has been around since 1887, first as a bi-weekly paper, and years later as a daily publication.

It is Colombia's oldest newspaper, and its web version was launched in 1996; as of 2015, the print version is still in circulation. El Espectador's website contains many sections, including Economics, Opinions, Sports, Entertainment, Daily Living and Technology, as well as a Blog section.
