During a casting call, a photo and resume are usually submitted by mail to a casting director to that show. The actor should not drop off his photo and resume personally or call the casting director. An actor can submit for a specific role in the series or send in his information as a general submission. Extras for a show may be cast throughout the season when they are needed. Extras are usually also cast by casting directors whom the production company hires.
Disney Channel may also have open calls, in which actors within a certain age range can audition in front of Disney Channel representatives for consideration in shows and movies.
