The names of cast members for each "Survivor" season have links to their biographies. Some listings include photographs, as well. The biography format varies among seasons. While earlier seasons have paragraphs of biographical information, later years categorize info in a question-and-answer format. Topics include personal claim to fame, inspiration in life, favorite sport, and reason for being on "Survivor."
"Survivor" went on the air in 2000. The first year, the show took place on the Malaysian island of Borneo. Subsequent locations included Panama's Pearl Islands, the Palau island group, Guatemalan jungles and the Cook Islands in the South Pacific.
In addition to changing casts and locations, "Survivor" varies the show's title and theme each season. For instance, season 30, "Survivor: Worlds Apart," grouped players as white collar -- typically office workers-- blue collar manual laborers, or no collar. The last group contained cast members who had less conventional careers. For the show's 28th season, the theme was "Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty."Learn more about Art & Literature
