Books by Stuart Woods in his Stone Barrington series include "New York Dead," "L.A. Dead," "Unnatural Acts" and "Paris Match." Other books are "Orchid Beach" in the Holly Barker series, "Santa Fe Rules" in the Ed Eagle series and "The Prince of Beverly Hills" in the Rick Barron Series.
Woods' first novel, "Chiefs," told of a 1920 crime in which the murder victim was a naked teenaged boy showing signs of ritual beating. The literate tale of long-held secrets and deceit in a small Georgia town earned the Edgar Award for Best First Novel from the Mystery Writers of America.
"Foreign Affairs," Woods' 35th novel featuring Stone Barrington, was released in October 2015. The book's plot finds the lawyer heading to Rome for a meeting. Along the way, he encounters so many obstacles that he realizes they are deliberate and hunts down the source through Paris and Italy.
