"Night Prey," "Mind Prey," "Sudden Prey," "Secret Prey" and "Certain Prey" are the next books in the series. The books center on a character named Lieutenant Lucas Davenport of the Minneapolis Police Department. The stories take place in chronological order, according to when they were written. However, many readers start with the second book in the series, "Shadow Prey," because the paperback edition incorrectly identifies it as the first in the series.
The series progresses through "Easy Prey," "Chosen Prey," "Mortal Prey," "Naked Prey" and "Hidden Prey." As the story progresses, Davenport resigns from the Minneapolis Police Department and becomes Deputy Chief. He eventually joins the Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
The next five books in the series are "Broken Prey," "Invisible Prey," "Phantom Prey," "Wicked Prey" and "Storm Prey." The 21st book in the series, "Buried Prey," is a throwback to the early years. As of 2015, the final four books in the series are "Stolen Prey," "Silken Prey," "Field of Prey" and "Gathering Prey." The author says that he intends to write only two more books in the Prey series, though he may continue the character in future books.Learn more about Fiction
