Books written by Francine Rivers include "An Echo in the Darkness," "Sons of Encouragement" and "A Lineage of Grace." Rivers published "An Echo in the Darkness" in 1994. It is the second book of the "Mark of the Lion" series.
"An Echo in the Darkness" continues where the first book "A Voice in the Wind" leaves off with the main character Hadassah forced into hiding to escape her Valerian family tormentor. Hadassah learns to heal with her faith, eventually reuniting with the story's love interest, Marcus. As the story continues, Marcus sets out on a journey to find his faith and fulfill his love for Hadassah.
"Sons of Encouragement" is a compilation of five books that tell the stories of the Biblical men Aaron, Caleb, Jonathan, Amos and Silas and their journeys and struggles for their faith. The first book of the compilation is "The Priest" which was published in 2004, followed by "The Warrior" and "The Prince" in 2005, "The Prophet" in 2006, and "The Scribe" in 2007.
"A Lineage of Grace" consists of five books, but instead of five Biblical men being the subjects of the books, five Biblical women are the main characters. The women are Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. The series, published starting in 2000, starts with "Unveiled" and "Unashamed,” before culminating with "Unshaken", "Unspoken" and "Unafraid" in 2001.
