According to an undated interview with the Christian network Daystar, Guy Penrod has a wife and eight children, including seven sons and one daughter. Penrod was the lead singer of the Gaither Vocal Band for 14 years before launching his solo career.
Penrod and his wife, Angie, home-schooled all of their children, and they live in a log house on a farm in the country, according to Daystar.
Penrod has said that themes involving family have served as the inspiration for the songs he has written. Some of his solo albums include "Worship," released in 2014, and "Hymns," released in 2012.
