"The Voice" auditioning process begins with signing up for an artist account, selecting an audition date and location, and attending and performing at the audition. A week before the audition, an Artist Audition Pass is emailed to the person auditioning. The last step is to attend the audition.
The person auditioning must bring a photo ID and a printout of the Artist Audition Pass to the audition. Those auditioning should be prepared to spend the entire day at the Open Call Audition. Additionally, preparations for a potential callback should be made. Only minors under 18 who are auditioning are allowed to be accompanied by one adult. Family and guests are not permitted to enter the building.
The Open Call Audition requires those auditioning to prepare two songs by any artist and genre. Those who receive callbacks must prepare three current/popular songs for the judges. Open Call Auditions are a cappella, but callbacks must be sung with an accompaniment. The accompaniment can be another person, an instrument or a backing track.
