Before February 2011, many people who could not view live sporting events relied on ATDHE.net to provide them access. ATDHE.net provided access to many sports events, including the U.S. National Football League, National Basketball Association and the National Hockey League.

At the time of its shutdown, ATDHE.net promised users it would continue to stream under the new domain name ATDHEnet.tv. As of 2015, ATDHE.net remains under the control of Homeland Security.

Channelsurfing.net and HQstreams.net were also shut down during this Homeland Security crackdown on copyright infringement.
