As of 2015, artist Terry Redlin is still alive and resides in the city of Watertown, South Dakota, on the shores of Lake Kampeska. The city is also home to the Redlin Art Center, which houses over 150 of Terry Redlin's original oil paintings.
Prior to beginning his career as a professional painter, Terry Redlin worked as a graphic designer, layout artist and art director in the commercial art industry. He sold his first original works in 1977. Terry Redlin was honored by the U.S. Art Magazine as America's Most Popular Artist between 1991 and 1998. He retired from painting and print singing in 2007 due to Alzheimer's disease.
