There are many accounts of people being raised by wolves, as well as other animals. Cases exist of people being raised by monkeys, wild dogs and even wild cats. Some people have been protected by animals as if they were a part of their pack for days, weeks, even years.
One of the more well known cases was pair of girls known as the "wolf children." Aged 3 and 8, the girls were discovered in 1920 in the jungles of India living with a she-wolf and her pack. Another case involved a 1 year old Argentinean boy found in 2008 being protected by wild cats. He had become separated from his father and was living with the cats for several days. They slept on him to keep him warm and brought him scraps of food to eat.
Marina Chapman wrote a memoir about being kidnapped at age 5, left for dead in the Colombian jungle, and being taken in by a group of capuchin monkeys for 5 years. She copied how they ate and socialized until they accepted her into their family and taught her how to catch birds and rabbits with her bare hands.
