Some annual autumn festivals in Ohio are the Indian Lake Harvest Festival and the Pumpkin Festival at Hiram House Camp. Ohio has more than 25 annual fall festivals as of 2015, including street fairs, Oktoberfest celebrations and festivals that showcase art, music and food.
The Indian Lake Harvest Festival was launched in 1980 and is held at the Indian Lake State Park. One of the most popular festivals in Logan County, the festival draws about 15,000 people annually. It features local arts and crafts as well as local bands and dance groups for entertainment. Park employees prepare their famous venison stew and serve fresh apple cider.
The Pumpkin Festival at Hiram House Camp started in 1971, and it was named by Fodor's Travel as one of the country's best pumpkin festivals. The event is held at Chagrin Falls in northeastern Ohio. The festival features pumpkin patches, exploding pumpkin demos, fall colors, rides and shows.
