The Pate Swap Meet originated in 1971 and is one of the most widely attended swap meets in Texas. The swap meet takes place at the end of April and beginning of May for a total of four days. The event focuses on automobilia, antique and collector cars, and a vast number of auto collectors attend the event for its diverse selection of automobile and motorcycle-related products sold by vendors from all over the country. The Greenville Swap Meet originated in 2000 from the northeast Texas region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. As of 2015, the three-day event hosts over 350 vendors and takes place on the first weekend of April. General admission for the event is free, but visitors pay for parking.
