What Are Some Anita Blake Books?

As of June 2015, there are currently 23 books published in the "Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter" book series, with a 24th book due to be released. The first five titles, in chronological order, are "Guilty Pleasures," "The Laughing Corpse," "Circus of the Damned," "The Lunatic Cafe" and "Bloody Bones."

The rest of the book series is made up of "The Killing Dance," "Burnt Offerings," "Blue Moon," "Obsidian Butterfly" and "Narcissus in Chains." The series also includes "Cerulean Sins," "Incubus Dreams," "Micah," "Danse Macabre" and "The Harlequin." The final books in the series include "Blood Noir," "Skin Trade," "Flirt," "Bullet" and "Hit List," as well as "Kiss the Dead," "Affliction" and "Jason." The 24th book, "Dead Ice," is due to be released in early June 2015.

Along with these 24 main titles, two electronic specials have also been released. "Beauty" comes between "Hit List" and "Kiss the Dead." The second electronic special, "Dancing," falls between "Kiss the Dead" and "Affliction."

Not only is "Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter" a successful book series, it has also served as inspiration for a Marvel comic book series. The comics go by the same name as the books, and the first issue was released in 2006. As of June 2015, a comic series has been published based around the first three Anita Blake books, "Guilty Pleasures," "The Laughing Corpse" and "Circus of the Damned."
