Alycia Lane is an American television journalist who was fired from a Philadelphia news station in 2008 for assaulting a police officer. Lane was born on May 10, 1972 in Lake Grove, New York, and as of December 2015, she has been divorced twice and has one child.
Lane attended the State University of New York at Albany and Northwestern University. She is of Welsh and Puerto Rican descent and is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Lane began her career at "News 12 the Bronx" in New York and then worked at two news stations in Miami. In 2003, she left Florida to join CBS-owned KYW-TV in Philadelphia.
Lane became a controversial figure while working at KYW-TV. She was involved in an inappropriate emailing incident in 2007, and she was arrested for assaulting a female police officer in New York City in 2008. Despite high ratings, Lane was terminated from the station in 2008. In July 2009, she moved to Los Angeles and joined NBC affiliate KNBC. Lane was later fired in October 2013. She was married to Dino Calandriello from 2000 to 2004 and Jay Adkins from 2005 to 2007. Lane has one child, Averie, born in June 2014.
