"Adventures in Odyssey" is a Christian radio program combining faith lessons with comedy and drama for an intended audience of children from 8 to 12 years old. The program began in 1987 under the title "Family Portraits" and has been on the air ever since. The main character is Mr. Whittaker, an old man who owns an ice cream shop in a town called Odyssey. Citizens of Odyssey come to Mr. Whittaker for advice on spiritual and other matters.
