Some advantages of joining the Black Expressions Book Club are receiving four books for $2 initially and saving 40 percent off the full price of African-American books, as of 2015. Members also receive recommendations from editors working in African-American literature.
The Black Expressions Book Club provides members with an extensive library of African-American literature, including novels, children's books, poems and biographies. Books in the library include ones written by popular African-American authors such as Eric Jerome Dickey, Lisa Nichols, T.D. Jakes and Mary B. Morrison. The book club catalog contains classics as well as new works, including books on the New York Times best-seller list written by African-American authors.
The initial offer deal for the Black Expressions Book Club allows a new member to select four books from the list of at least 500 introductory materials for only $2, including shipping costs. After receiving the introductory offer, members are required to purchase four more books from the catalog within a year. If a new member is not satisfied with the books received in the initial offer, he can return the books within 20 days, cancel the membership and receive a refund. New members can also purchase a separate book with their initial offer for about $6 to reduce their book commitment for the year to three books.
