The two main stars of "Source Code" are Jake Gyllenhaal and Michelle Monaghan. Other stars of "Source Code" include Vera Farmiga, Jeffrey Wright, Russell Peters, Michael Arden, Cas Anvar and Scott Bakula.
"Source Code" stars Jake Gyllenhaal as Colter Stevens, a pilot and captain in the U.S. Air Force. One day, he mysteriously wakes up on a train, sitting across from Christina Warren, played by Michelle Monaghan. The plot of the movie features Stevens unknowingly assuming the identity of Sean Fentress, a schoolteacher who must stop a bomb from killing everyone on the train. Captain Colleen Goodwin, played by Vera Farmiga, explains to Stevens that the bomb will explode every eight minutes, with each explosion sending him back to the beginning of his mission.
This is possible due to the invention of the Source Code experimental device created by Dr. Rutledge, played by Jeffrey Wright. Stevens eventually discovers the bomber is Derek Frost, played by Michael Arden. "Source Code" features comedian Russell Peters in the supporting role of Max Denoff, a comedian similar to Peters himself. Cas Anvar plays the role of Hazmi. The film also features a voice cameo by Scott Bakula, who provides the voice of Stevens' father during a phone call.
