The 2015 Teen Choice Awards were held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on August 16, 2015. More than 25 million votes were submitted by viewers aged 13 through 19 via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
The 2015 Teen Choice Awards were hosted by Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Gina Rodriguez and Josh Peck. The awards featured live performances by Flo Rida, Little Mix and Rachel Platten, and Robin Thicke. Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray from "Empire" also performed, as well as 5 Seconds of Summer.
The first award of the night went to Ellen DeGeneres, who was picked as Choice Comedian. The TV host gave an inspiring speech encouraging teens to make the choice to be different. Also, the late Paul Walker was picked as Choice Male Actor for “Furious 7.” His daughter received the award on his behalf.
The Choice Web Star awards went to Bethany Mota and Cameron Dallas. Fifth Harmony won the Choice Summer Song award for “Worth it,” while she also took the Choice Fashion: Female Hottie award and Choice Music: Female Artist award.
One Direction received the most awards. The band took home eight of their 10 nominations, including Choice Selfie Taker, Choice Fashion: Male Hottie and Choice Music: Party Song for “No Control.”
