The Arizona State Prison Complex - Florence was originally built in 1908, and is located 55 miles east of Phoenix Arizona and is one of the thirteen prisons within the state of Arizona. There is an extension of the prison which houses minimum security inmates in Eloy. The prison has a capacity of 3,946 inmates within six different housing units and is the state of Arizona's judicial site for
