Aristotle's Concept On Tragedy

Aristotle did have his unique concept of tragedy. He defined it in his Poetics around 300 BC. Tragedy is defined as "the imitation of an action that is serious and also as having magnitude, complete in itself." The tragic hero is someone that others can identify with because he is so very human. If one can not empathize with the tragic hero, then he isn't one.
