The probability is the chances that something has or will occur. The basic formula for finding the probability is: the number of favorable events/the number of total events. Lets try an example. If there are 3 red marbles, 5 green marbles and 4 yellow marbles in a bag, what is the probability of pulling out a red marble? The probability would be 3/12=1/4 or 25%.
