Everyone has their own beliefs on what is a good defend your castle strategy. I have one that seems to never fail. Get as many archers as you can and lay waste to your opponent from a distance. Then clean them up with the cavaliers. Who ever is left will be destroyed by the ground soldiers and knights. There we go you can always add your own twist to it. But that formula seems to work the best.
