. dressing, just about anything that fancies your taste. You can use it as a snack, a main dish, a side dish or as a meal all on its own. As being a vegetable the potato is a root. It is though category of vegetables. Why you may ask? Fruits are seed bearing plants such as a peach. It's seed is found right in the middle of the fruit. You can us this seed to grow a peach tree. A seed is the main thought, fruits have seeds. Vegetables do not have seeds but have eyes on them if you let them set long enough. These are called tubers though not seeds. So yes the potato is a root vegetable.
