"A person displaying aberrant behavior would be straying from the ""norm."" Aberrant behavior can refer to deviant behavior in some cases. Therefore, the behavior would violate cultural standards that are set in place, such as rejecting folkways or mores. Norms refer to standards of ways that a person should act. Norms are rules of conduct that are expected. An example of a following the
. norm, would be following the laws that are set in place by the government. We know that it is wrong to steal, however a person straying from the norm deciding to steal would be displaying aberrant behavior. Aberrant defined by itself means immoral or deviating from the truth. Simple to define, however from one society to the next sometimes it is difficult to define what is or is not moral. Additionally, following norms may be hard to define and may appear as only contextual. In fact, some may view such acts of aberrant behavior as an act of individualism, identity of the self, or simply as an act to rebel."
