A commuter status has many different meanings. If you are a college student then it means you drive to school, you do not live on campus. If you work it means you drive to work you do not work from home. Some commutes can be very long and some are very short. Sometimes a highway commute can be difficult because of traffic. Usually this makes the commute longer.
