The teachers code of ethics varies by location and school, but generally includes a duty and obligation to educate all students, regardless of race, sex, creed, religion, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation, political beliefs, handicaps, etc., to the best of the teachers' and students' abilities. It includes the notion that all students are capable of learning--are "educable".
