A teacher-created newsletter to parents can be of many types. Often, teachers (particularly those in the younger grades) send home regular newsletters with children to inform parents about classroom learning and activities. These newsletters can be as simple as half-sheet notes. A more creative approach is to have the students themselves publish a classroom newsletter or newspaper. The level
. of technology used will vary according to students' ability level, but the idea is the same. On a weekly or monthly basis, student reporters write stories about what has been happening in the classroom and at the school. A team of editors arranges these stories for printing. Copies are sent home. Hint: When students write the stories, parents are more likely to read the newsletters.
