Cheating is never an option. All answers for NIMS ICS (200 through 800) tests are provided in the materials both in person and online. A simple read-through (or two to be sure) of the provided materials will allow the test-taker to successfully complete the test. In addition, harsh penalties and consequences belie any individual attempting to cheat on these straight-forward tests. The
. official stance put forth by the NETC states:"Organizations are encouraged to establish procedures to ensure completion of the examination is an individual effort. Personnel within an organization who feel that test answers are being improperly provided should follow their organization's measures for reporting unethical conduct. If a student is found to have cheated on an exam, the penalty may include--but is not limited to--expulsion; foreclosure from future classes for a specified period; forfeiture of certificate for course/courses enrolled in at NETC or NTC; or all of the above in accordance with NETC Instruction 1100.1. A letter notifying the student's sponsoring organization of the individual's misconduct will be sent by the appropriate official at NETC."NIMS ICS-200 training is mandated for all Federal, State, territorial, tribal, private sector and nongovernmental personnel at the following levels of responsibility in emergency management operations "" first-line supervisor (Sergeant/Lieutenant), mid-level management (Captain/Shift Commander) and command (Battalion Chief/Division Chief/ District Commander/PIO) and general staff (Operations/Planning/Logistics/Finance-Admin). These positions are ranked within the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). Therefore, if an individual seeks to cheat and find test answers online (which are often available), he or she not only will commit a federal offense, but also devalue a position of critical importance. FEMA employees are required during times of emergency. If an employee has cheated on his or her training exam, then the likelihood of ignorance in standard procedure during these critical times of emergency further the state of panic. Therefore it is highly deplorable to cheat on a federal exam when study materials are readily available. To obtain the NIMS IS-200 ICS test-covered material, click here: http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/is/is200lst.aspMore reference links: http://training.fema.gov/emiweb/is/is200lst.asp http://www.fema.gov/pdf/emergency/nims/ics_200_fs.pdf
